 There are ladies who are not ready for the world to know that they are lonely.They will buy gifts for themselves on the valentines day and send the gifts to herself so that people will not realize that she is single.This is a common habit for single ladies out there.They don’t want to feel insecure as other colleagues are having fun with their partners.

A popular radio presenter is used to doing this.A receptionist told standard media that this lady sends the flowers to herself and when she receives them she says that they are from a secret admirer and she makes sure that she moves around the office with them hoping that her colleagues will ask her about them.This random tour is aimed at showing that she is not single.

3.Women opt for toy boys.

Nairobians have now adapted the western kind of life.What was considered western way of life has now been adapted by the Nairobi ladies and they are doing this without any fear.In 2014 a facebook group by the name Toy Boys for Cougars organized a valentine event and every cougar was required to pay a fee of ksh500 .The venue was secret.A lady who attended the party said that it lasted for two hours and we opted to move out and party elsewhere with our found partners.This was not scam but the single ladies found partners at the party.

4.The man is the head of the house and I am his neck.

When the valentines nears,the  wife or the girlfriend tend to behave well.The noise in the house over dirty socks left in table room reduces.She is more romantic than she has been and this is done to keep the man of the house at ease so that he cannot go out on valentines day with the young lady he sees aside.She  will even be ready to flex abit for the new style that you have been begging her since January to do the same.A certain local magazine editor told standard that both her ladies are acting in a attractive manner but he has no plans for both of them.He plans to disappoint the both of them.He is married and he will disappoint both wife and the girlfriend no matter how friendly they will act.

5.Single ladies resort to sideshows

There are extreme cases of ladies  who will fake that they are in  love and they have moved on after they have been heart broken by their lovers.Their desperation leads them to fall in love with people who are not even ready to love them but all about lust.
